Imagine you and your team have just finished a particularly intense period of work and met seemingly impossible deadlines. You need a rest. Your boss hands you an envelope that reads:

CONGRATULATIONS ON A JOB WELL DONE !!
You and your teammates are invited to attend a rejuvenating weekend at An Exclusive resort on the weekend of August 13 & 14.
On the morning of August 13, breakfast will be served at 9am at A Great Place, where you will receive more information about this exciting event.
Bring an overnight bag, walking shoes, a bathing suite and a jacket.

On the appointed day, you arrive at A Great Place, along with all of your teammates. The room is awash with a buzz of anticipation and excitement. You enjoy a sumptuous breakfast and relive the accomplishments of the recent project.
After breakfast, your company president stands up to say a few words about the outstanding achievement your team has accomplished, then you are transported to An Exclusive resort for your rejuvenation retreat.
When you arrive, you can't believe the peacefulness of the surroundings. The main lodge has a welcoming atmosphere and a wood fire burning. You are able to choose from a variety of activities including hiking, canoeing, horseback riding , and various spa treatments. Or you can just choose to read a book in your room or lounge by the pool.
The evening starts with a five star dinner and optional production at a local theatre. After a memorable day and evening you fall asleep to the sound of pine trees softly swaying in the breeze.
The next day you wake refreshed and find yourself famished. You enjoy a huge farm-fresh breakfast and enjoy another afternoon of relaxing. After a well deserved afternoon nap, you decide to take in that massage to ease a few of the muscles you over extended during your walk around the lake yesterday.
By the time you're ready to go home, you feel refreshed and energized, ready to tackle your next project. Wow, you're so lucky to work for such a great company that takes the health and well-being of their employees so seriously!! |
